Giving & Sharing

I wanted you to have record of this little note that Ms. Donna, your teacher assistant from preschool sent home on the last week of preschool:

"Dear Sophia & Mommy, You have both been so kind to Ms. Becky and me this year and have done so many special, thoughtful things for us from iced tea (yum!) to cobbler (yum, yum!). Thank you for being such a sweet girl and a sweet Mommy! Love, Ms. Donna"

Another little note sent home with a schoolhouse collection of pictures capturing moments of you throughout the school year also came home from Mrs. Becky. The note said, "To the parents of My Student--You and I have had a close tie this year because of a child. We have worried and laughed and loved because of a child. We have puzzled and planned and prayed because of a child. We are both older, wiser, and a little more tired because of a child. But we have hope for tomorrow because of a child. Thank you for sharing your child with me! Love, Ms. Becky"

Mother Teresa said that, "It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving." My prayer as your mother is that you will always find simple ways to give to others as you often do now----a fresh cut flower, a pretty picture, a kiss, a hug, an "I love you", gifts for Operation Christmas Child boxes and more.

 

Thank you, little one for sharing your first music performance with Daddy & me this past Saturday, May 26th, 2012. I'll soon load some of your pictures from the show. When I asked you who you were going to sing A Bushel and a Peck to when you stepped out on the stage, you said, "Just to You!" That moment melted my heart..........
