Our days have been overflowing with blessings as we've prepared for your fourth birthday, welcomed family and friends into our home for your tropical birthday celebration, enjoyed leisure time with your cousins, and as we've packed to travel to Greece tomorrow! I've several stories to add to our blog for you but tonight I quickly wanted to capture your questions and prayers about our travel! I had prepared you that we were leaving our house behind after your party so that we could travel to Greece to meet Yiayia & Papou there! Thus, after your birthday you began to ask more about when we were leaving and how we were getting there! Last night after our reading time, you asked....I explained that Daddy would drive us to the airport so that we could get on our first plane. You asked, "Why?" I explained. You then elaborated your question, "You don't know where the airport is Mommy?" I explained that Daddy would have to bring our truck back to our house so that it would be left at the airport. We were even fortune enough to watch the Bubble Guppies traveling on an airplane too! We discussed the airport and talked a little about security too! Even today when I asked you to leave behind your jewelry from your owl purse, you didn't argue back! I explained that just a few items needed to travel with us in your owl purse that you love to swing over your shoulder and across your body like Mommy's purse! I love how you watch me and I pray that I can constantly be a Godly role model to you! Throughout the day as I packed and organized, I tried to find the patience I needed to have with you---------and by working together our day was perfect. You listened to Mommy as we ran errands, enjoyed last minute birthday gifts, and friends dropping by to see us. We even enjoyed a delicious home cooked meal at home that you helped Mommy prepare: Meatloaf, Fresh Corn on the Cob, & Salads. But my favorite moment of the day was your nightly prayer. You knelt down by the bed with Daddy across from you on the other side of the bed. You opted to say the prayer tonight. You prayed, "Now I lay me down to sleep...Bless Mommy, Bless Daddy, Bless Yiayia, Bless Papou, Bless the airport, Bless the airplane!" Oh! How the perfect prayer melted Mommy's heart! The compassion you encompass at age four makes me want to give you the world on a silver platter! Know this little one, there's nothing that one can give you not even I as your mother that loves you more than life itself------------the key to happiness and all the riches of the world is that faith you exhibited tonight. "Ask and it will be give to you; seek and you will find; know and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks recieves; he who seeks finds....Matthew 7:7-8".

Last year, we flew stand-by by to Athens, Greece with stories to tell as we waited & waited for the plane that would fly us there! Thus, this year's travels should be a breeze with regular tickets. Although anything can happen as we venture out the door tomorrow.....Thus, I ask God to embrace that magical prayer of yours as He reunites Yiayia and Elia safely with Papou and Aris in Greece (another stand-by travel story)----------and us soon thereafter!

I love the simplicity of our vacation days in Greece! I look forward to all these wonderful moments again this year! Here, you are washing clothes in a tub that Yiayia had out in the "avle"---yard! I love it. We'll spend many leisure moments here. Luckily you'll get to share many moments here with Aris & Elia again this year. Amazing to see how you've grown since our first trip to Greece when you were one! Oh! How I pray that you'll continue to have the opportunity to vacation in Greece every summer. There's so much to see and experience. And the language acquisition for you........and me both!

One of the places we'll visit again this summer is Parga, Greece-----one of Mommy's favorite places! Beyond there, we'll see what the summer brings...........
Lord protect us as we travel. Protect those that we love. Go before us-----we'll glory in the richness of each summer day as you pave the road to many unexpected moments of joy!
