Easter Memories

The joys of last month's Easter celebrations were popping up on my computer screen and I just couldn't resist pulling a few of my favorite snapshots of you as you hopped (literally, at least at first) about at preschool for Easter eggs filled with candy.......

Mrs. Becky said, "Hop!" and you did just that the beginning of the Easter Egg Hunt

Daddy-O & Sophia, Easter 2012 on April the 8th
After two Easter parties at school throughout the week with your classmates and teachers, we joined friends for lunch on Easter Sunday and an Easter egg hunt. You enjoyed finding your candy & prized filled eggs. Additionally, you were delighted to play outdoors in the cool, crisp air with Hudson, Ann Charlotte, and Evie. You were excited to receive new pajamas too. It was a fun filled afternoon with friends--------and the three of us!

Exploring the World Around YOU
When we arrived home, you requested to put on your new Easter pajamas and you played around the house. Daddy-O was super exhausted from a week at work and passed out on us on his end of the couch! You were not supposed to take a nap so late in the afternoon but after a busy week of activities, you started fussing about wanting ice-cream on the couch! Mommy was adamant that you had to come to the kitchen for ice-cream so I removed myself from the living room so that you would follow me. I think I heard the request one more time followed by silence! When I peeked into the living room, I found you like this......
One Exhausted Easter Chick
You were literally one exhausted Easter chick so Mommy let you and Daddy rest as I enjoyed coffee and computer time on my end of the couch! Luckily, we have a long, long comfortable couch to comfort us all!

There's one picture from Easter 2011 that I loved of your friend, Drue, and you-----the look of wonder is one that I always delight in seeing on your face as you experience the world around you.

The Wonder of Little Ones: Sophia & Drue

One year when you are older, I will make the effort to take you to the village in Greece to experience all of the symbolism of Greek Orthodox Easter during Holy Week. Until then, we'll praise God for all his wondrous works as we gather in various parts of the world---------where our lives unfold.......

HE is RISEN!
