Birthdays are so magical----one more year to celebrate, a day to sing.........
I've always loved celebrations of every kind---
Daddy has been known to say, "It's just another day for me." But, you know, I don't think he's said that lately......with you in his life. Last December you especially picked out something special for him. You accompanied Mommy out shopping. We had a coupon for $5 off a $10 purchase at Hallmark so we browsed the store looking for something we might need or want. We looked at Christmas ornaments and little plaques with various sayings. You asked Mommy what they said and I read them to you. You selected one to hold that said, "Love you to the Moon & Back"------and you said that you wanted to buy it for Daddy. We did. You even put back the Christmas ornament for yourself and said, "I'll buy that tomorrow!" We kept Daddy's little gift until his birthday and you beamed with pride when you gave it to him since it symbolized something we say to one another around here often!
Your babies have birthdays often around the house too. I hear you singing and playing with your babies, singing Happy Birthday to them or you're requesting that Mommy help you sing Happy Birthday to one or more of your babies---daily. You're also super excited to help others celebrate their birthdays! We've made it to a few magical birthday parties this year together as we celebrated with family & friends.

You, Princess, have the right perspective as you remind us that we should sing birthday wishes daily because birthdays are important as we celebrate one more year full of unexpected moments of joy whether they are found in the midst of pretend play at home, Cinderella visiting us at Elia's third birthday, at Zach's birthday when he blew out his first birthday candle, among superheros riding their bicycles around, or ladies having tea to celebrate Maggie turning four.
Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to.........
