You, Sophia, absolutely love to be outside! No matter what the activity entails, you love, love, love the outdoors! After waking up this morning, you were delighted to hear that we were going swimming at the Rogers's household. We spent an hour soaking up the cool, pool water and that hot summer sun this morning. This afternoon after your nap, we took in yet another hour or more in our friends' pool. Upon returning home, Mommy prepped dinner and we waited for Daddy. Mommy went for a walk around the block---just 30 minutes of walking had me sweating in this humid, high temperature Tennessee heat! Daddy & you finished prepping dinner and grilled out while Mommy cooled off! You came in once for a band-aid for a semi-boo boo on your finger. Your fingertips were covered in dirt. I'm making the assumption that you and Daddy were looking for glass again! I'll never understand your obsession with hunting for glass in the backyard and around the block but you love it. Hidden treasures! And there's an abundance of it on this old property of ours! After dinner, I walked outside to put up the grill and I found a pail of sidewalk chalk scattered about beautiful artwork that you and Daddy evidently created too. When you came in for dinner, your little face was covered in sweat and you drank gulped down two mini glasses (a liquor glass with a glass ball that sparkles at the bottom of it----your request the past two nights was granted tonight when Mommy poured up dinner drinks, tea & water) of sweet tea----never once complaining about being hot! You live to be outside discovering and taking in the world around you! You did much the same in Greece each day this summer of our six week vacation. You soaked up the mountain air, the freedom of playing outdoors every waking moment! As July comes to a close, I'm praying for cooler weather that will bring us together as a family time and time again--------unveiling all of those unexpected moments of joy outside with you!
