Photographed Reflections

A few days ago in Zitsa, I asked a new friend, Anna, to photograph you, Sophia & me around the village. We met around eight in the evening and walked throughout one village street through the hidden paths, up the mountain, down the mountains talking while Anna snapped several photographs. Today, she presented me with a compact disk of edited photographs that I browsed through to find a few favorites. After viewing the photographs, I was reflecting on the bond between the two of us--------mother and daughter! How humbling it is to be loved and wanted so much by you! Your little arms wrap around my neck, you make me laugh and lose my patience all at the same time. What a gift it is to be your mother! And oh! How can I be the mother that I want to be..........the mother, you'll love and cherish for years.....the mother you'll become to your children....the woman, I'll witness you growing into each day...........

Mother & Daughter
Two Souls, One Heart
"Mommy, Look!"
My daily breath...
You're as beautiful as this flower you loved on our photographic journey!
"Deep breathe. Love is patient. And it can only be patient when it is first grateful, receiving the present as a present…grace." These beautifully written words were written by Ann Voskamp (The Order of Love) and they truly resonated the moment of my reflection. I am truly grateful that you are my daughter and that you love life with all of your soul and heart-------the beauty of words, flowers, glass, people----- and me. I love you beyond words, my little angel, Sophia.
