Kiss My Face

Today, I received a new moisturizer in the mail. I placed it in the bathroom so that I could pull the plastic off of it and begin using it. You found it first---after your nap. "Mommy, what is this?" I explained to you that it was Mommy's new moisturizer to use and that I had bought it to try since I had never used Kiss My Face products in the past. Immediately, you repeated the company's logo, "Kiss My Face" and smiled as you inched closer to Mommy kissing me all over my face repeatedly! Pure joy! I love your little ways!

Later today, we were in the kitchen. As I was changing purses, you opted to help me. When I pointed to a picture on my checkbook and asked you who this looked like you immediately said, "Daddy!" It was a picture of Jesus. When I told you that it was Jesus, you grinned from ear to ear and said, "Daddy looks like Jesus!" You called Daddy to tell him, "Daddy, you know who you look like......" And before he arrived home, you asked for the check, an envelope, and a marker to write on the check. You sealed it in an envelope to surprise Daddy when he arrived home! Indeed that compliment kissed his face too! He grinned from ear to ear just like you did when you discovered that Daddy and Jesus resemble in their features and in their hairstyles!

As I yawned at the kitchen table, I voiced that I needed more coffee to make it through the evening. You asked, "Mommy, are you going to be able to read books to me tonight?" You were concerned that if I was sleepy early in the evening that I'd just turn out the lights without any books. I reassured you that we'd read tonight as we did but oh how it warmed my heart to know that you value our time together reading!

And after we read books, we turned out the lights......"Mommy, you forgot to kiss me and hug me after you read to me?"

The rainy end to the week and sheer delight that it was Friday with nothing on our list that had to be accomplished until Monday had Mommy slipping but with each thought voiced you tenderly kissed my face.

Thank you for a wonderful week and I'll eagerly seek the wonders you'll delight us with in the morning!

"Mommy, when will it be morning time!" you asked three times before slumber took over your desire to keep playing and enjoying today!

...and softly Mommy, kissed your face once more! May your dreams' magical journey bring to life all that our hearts desire!
