The weekend's wonders began early Friday morning.....you were elated to find Caroline measuring....
 |
How!?! Caroline!?! Look!?! |
 |
"Daddy, how did............?" |
 |
Get down from......!?! |
....and Caroline's adventures didn't stop there. After dropping you off at preschool, Caroline rode to Wal-Mart with me. She selected a new thermos for you---and pleaded for a Halloween book for you. She just had to have
Room on the Broom for the two of you to read together. Caroline knew you'd like the rhymes within it and the magical broom that flies through the dark skies---magical moments.....and one more sticker for your calendar......all set out for you after preschool. You had requested that Daddy pick you up and he did just that...the smile on your face when you walk through the door is priceless. And the "Mommy!" with the big hug that nearly knocks me to the floor is greatly appreciated too! I couldn't live without these moments....

A sticker for another perfect pizza slice...... |

"Daddy, just one more sticker before......." |

Daddy, Caroline, & Sophia---one preschool pick-up & the smiles abound! |

Mommy & Sophia |
After Friday morning's treats, we enjoyed lunch, a nap, time with friends for a mini play date at Keegan's house prior to tumble and cheer class.......grill time at home with Daddy...bedtime...Saturday morning soccer.......and Mrs. Andrea and Olivia's company for lunch, conversation, art time, and more! WE had planned on driving to Covington for our annual fall stroll through downtown for Heritage Days (where we've enjoyed meeting Mrs. Dee and Drue for the past several years but this year---they are in Japan). Maybe my heart/soul really couldn't walk the square without them this year......many times, we don't know the impact of someone's touch/presence in our lives until we can't have it....or maybe, I truly needed a Saturday at home....unwinding...a weekend without much planned......Mrs. Andrea suggested staying put. Thus, we did and enjoyed every minute. I needed that decision made by someone else since I was riding the fence on whether we should attend the fall event. What a treat staying home was.....we enjoyed a stroll through Kroger for a few groceries for the weekend/week's menu plans.....and playtime at the park....and dinner with Daddy at the Mexican restaurant.

Got ART? |
 |
Artfully Thoughtful!?! |
Sunday morning, we slept in----watched cartoons, worked on a few skills (i.e. sight words, numbers, etc.), we found newspapers that Daddy left for us by the backdoor.......Mommy cooked vegetable/beef soup and baked a strawberry cake while you watched Rapunzel .......we worked on another melted, wax art creation......and you helped Daddy work. You announced, "Daddy, I'm a real worker now!" as you hammered out the wood panels making room for the new door.

Licking icing on the couch!?! Weekend TREAT! |

......experiencing life through you little one.......these unexpected moments of joy forever change how I experience life and the world.......as I seek to be the mom that you'll forever be grateful for......you said to me today, "Mommy, don't you want a hug and a kiss before I get out of the hug/kiss move (mood)?" I loved this little question and pray that you'll never 'move' out of the mood of loving........especially ME because I'll always be in the mood for those hugs around the neck that throw my entire body out of alignment but fill my heart full of everything I desire.......
The weekend.......a perfect mix of everything spectacular all because you were here to experience it all with me.......not just the weekend but Our Weekend.
I love you!

A little dolly mischief, how fun! I love the witch hat, such a nice touch to her outfit ;-)
