LOVE Never Fails!

One evening after Easter, the three of us sat on our front porch enjoying one another, fresh air, and coffee. You handed Daddy the cross that was on the table outside and wanted Daddy to read it to you.........

Daddy & Sophia: April 2012

He read, "Love is kind. Love is patient. It does not boast. It is not jealous; it is not proud... t is not self-seeking..it is not rude. Love is not selfish; it is not easily angered..it does not rejoice over the wrong but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects. It always trusts. Love hopes. Believes and bears all things. Love Never Fails and now these three remain FAITH, LOVE, & HOPE! Love will last forever!"

The verse is from 1st Corinthians 13: 4-8 & a favorite of daddy's. He read it to you as I snapped these pictures of the two of you---------and we laughed because of Daddy-O's new haircut! I had asked Daddy if the guys at work made fun of him & his "bob"! You see, Daddy works seven days a week--------long hard hours for ends to meet at home--------and in general because he's asked by so many clients, friends, community members, strangers, & more..........for his help, his expertise, his guidance.......and more....He's not one to say no to anyone that asks for his help. He lives out this scripture to help others-----and through his love of helping others, his time runs out.....and one day brings another. Even on Easter morning, he worked....that afternoon, he needed a haircut so the scissors came out of the drawer and we cut his hair....There was no real style. He wouldn't trust me to cut layers in it but the length was gone. When he sat in this chair, we joked about his "bob" looking like your haircut! And so my question about others laughing at him....He said, he didn't care! He's great at letting others laugh at him without it really bothering him. You see, he doesn't wear those stars and dots that people place on him.

You weren't satisfied that Daddy read this scripture to you from the cross, you wanted Mommy to read it to you. So I asked Daddy, to tell me what my hair looked like since his was a "bob"---------and can you believe it? He told me that mine looked like a "MOP!" I'm not so sure I can laugh off this comment! When I see these snapshots of us, I remember it but that's not really what I remember. Take a look at yourself, princess. You see that wonder and delight--------as we read to you, you listened. You learned. In these moments, I can only ask that God magnify HIS grace upon our lives-------giving us more time together to LOVE!
Captivated by Daddy's Reading of 1st Corinthians 13:4-8
Mommy & Sophia
We'll take the "bob" and the "mop" and wear them proudly to have more of these moments with you!

LOVE Never Fails! And even when life reminds you that it does, visualize God's grace holding LOVE above gravity's force. Nothing can overpower LOVE.
