Keepsake Prayers

This week, your preschool teacher, Ms. Tracy, sent home the words to the prayers that you and your classmates recite in class! I wanted to capture them here for us as Keepsake Prayers! I'm sure that we'll refer to them often at home as you learn them in preschool.

Snack Prayer is: A B C D E F G Thank you God for feeding me! (Now, I understand your ABC prayer at home that you recited for us this past week! And I love your own version just as much as I love you!)

Lunch Prayer is: Thank you for the world so sweet, Thank you for the food we eat. Thank you for the birds that sing, Thank you God for everything!

Rest time prayer is: God in Heaven hear my prayer. Keep me in thy loving care. Be my guide in all I do. Bless all those who love me too!

And as you begin your second week of preschool next week, I'll  let these prayers run across my mind.....I'll learn each word too. When I snack, I'll pray your snack prayer-----and for you to enjoy your snack at school! When I eat lunch, I'll pray your lunch prayer----and for you to eat the lunch that Mommy prepared for you (and that the little note that's tucked in your lunchbox would be a piece of sunshine in your school day----and that you'll know in your heart that I can't wait to see you again!). When it's time for you to lie down and rest, I'll pray your rest time prayer----and for you to dream of all the moments we've had, all those moments that await us-----together! Your prayers will be my prayers as I hold you close to my heart each moment that you're away from me during your preschool days!
