After school today, we ventured to the mall together! We often stop in to buy a sprinkle cookie at The Popcorn Place for you but today we were going to Nina's birthday party celebration so Mommy opted to wait---at least Mommy did....you indeed asked for one!
Luckily, Mommy's decision to wait was perfect since there were cylinders filled with icing and cupcakes waiting in the stands to decorate with oodles and oodles of sprinkles! It was delightful watching you decorate your cupcake at Nina's birthday party--a few sprinkles on your cupcake and a few in your mouth! You kept licking your fingers and taking mini bites of all the wonderful sprinkles: pearls, hearts, tiny red sparkles, stars, and more! Sprite, mini cupcake marshmallows, pretzels dipped in chocolate, ice-cream cake.........sugar spike! Pin the "Sprinkles on the Cupcake" and pinata fun.........a sweet, fun filled afternoon for us all as we celebrated Nina turning four! I love all these new friendships we're making from preschool. Another mom asked you if you liked school during the birthday party and you said YES! I was thrilled! You didn't elaborate on that 'Yes' but it was the perfect positive touch after getting another "Wonderful Day" comment from your teachers!
I savored each hug, kiss, & "Mommy, I missed you!" that you sent my way today! We didn't get to go see Lily cheer as you requested several times over tonight but you helped Mommy & Daddy shop for a new dryer at Lowe's--------and you enjoyed the frightfully fun Halloween decor that's on display! And just before going to sleep, you made sure that tomorrow was Saturday and that you were getting to stay home with Mommy-------and you requested that kitty cat attire! Hmm.........so many requests! I'm sure that Saturday's and Sunday's Surprises will envelope us in new blessings!
My perfect cupcake is one sprinkled with love from you! Thank you for making me my own cupcake during the birthday party. I pray that you will always think of others and extend a helping hand!
