I was really proud of you this morning when you walked into your classroom ready to join the circle of classmates and your teacher------moving to the beat of a song! I didn't see any tears-----for you little one, I pray that there were none! Mommy wants you to be happy always! I reminded you tonight that even when Mommy is not there that I'm always with you in your HEART! We reiterate this and the sound of your voice as you repeat it to me gives me comfort-----and the smile that runs across those little lips lets me know you can almost visualize that I'm there with you!
This afternoon, we drove to Friendship for Voice lessons. As we were unloading, you grabbed your baby doll with the pink hair, your mini blanket, a wind-up bunny-------and your iPad (that I placed in my bag for you). As soon as we walked into the studio, you saw a little girl there that was about two. You walked over to her and handed her your baby doll to play with while you enjoyed a few more minutes with your ipad. I was so proud of you. There are not many moments that I can recall that you share baby dolls especially not without coaxing from Mommy. This unexpected gesture made me smile.
Thus tonight, I pray that God would continue to still my movements in order to fully see that indeed you are learning and becoming the young lady we desire for you to become. You're my little baby! And yes, you'll correct me and say, "I'm not your little baby, I'm a little girl!" Yes---yes, you are just that my little baby girl! I love you. Last week there were a few moments of disappointment that made we want to give up---moments that I didn't want to count as joy when we had to trudge through them together. Yet, several moments this week have already touched my heart, healed those difficult steps that we walked through together. I don't always understand. I analyze the whys more than I stop to just relish the growth that comes from hardships. But today's proud moments make me remember even more.......the way you hugged your classmate at her birthday party and said, "Bye! Happy Birthday Kaci! Thank you for inviting us to your birthday party!" Sweet!
Reflections of you, reflections of me! I know that together we can both continue to make one another proud. I love you little one and as we pray for you to always make good choices, we'll pray that Mommy does too-----as God molds you into the woman He desires!
